11th European Space Weather Week – Call for session proposals

11th European Space Weather Week
November 17-21, 2014, Belgium

CALL FOR SESSIONS AND SPLINTERS

The 11th Edition of the European Space Weather Week will take place on 17-21nd November 2014 in Belgium. The venue will be confirmed shortly, but mark your calendars now for this ever growing European event.

The ESWW will again adopt the central aim of bringing together the diverse groups in Europe working on different aspects of Space Weather. This includes but isn’t limited to the scientific community, the engineering community, applications developers, service providers and service end users.
The Belgian Solar-Terrestrial Centre of Excellence (STCE), ESA and the Space Weather Working Team (SWWT) will again coordinate the meeting. The local organization is done by the STCE. All information is centralized at http://stce.be/esww11

In order to ensure that this 11th edition best represents the wide range of work on-going in Europe currently, we cordially invite you to submit a proposal for one of the main plenary/parallel sessions of this year’s event using the following form by 7th March 2014.

http://stce.be/Survey/

The Programme Committee will review the submissions in March and inform the convenors shortly afterwards whether their proposal has been selected for the ESWW schedule.
Sessions proposals are welcome on a range of scientific and applications oriented topics, and particularly encouraged where they focus on cross-disciplinary issues and include the participation of end-users of space weather services and information.

It should be noted that this call does not replace the active business meetings or splinters, which form an integral part of the ESWW format and which will be advertised through a separate call in spring this year. Nevertheless, the survey includes already an application form for these.
Looking forward to seeing you again in Belgium this year.
