AOGS 2014 Sun and Heliosphere Sessions!.

Dear Colleagues.

I would like to draw your attention to the Sun and Heliosphere sessions at the upcoming Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) in Japan later this year. The 11th Annual AOGS meeting will take place in Sapporo, Japan, 28 July to 01 August 2014. The Conference WebPages can be found here: http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2014/ along with relevant links to the sessions, the Mars Login for submitting abstracts, and the list of Important Dates.

The full abstract-submission details are given here: http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2014/public.asp?page=abstract.htm; but please note that the AOGS Conference Fee only covers two abstracts – any more than two abstracts to be presented by the same person would require additional fees.

Sessions relevant to the Sun and Heliosphere (ST-H):
ST01 – Cosmophysical plasma jets
ST04 – Implications of the Recent Prolonged Solar Minimum and Current Weak Maximum
ST06 – Solar activity, Space Weather and Space Climate
ST08 – Global Solar wind – planetary environment interactions : A comparative view of recent observations, modeling and numerical simulations
ST11 – Sun and Heliosphere General Session
ST15 – Multi-scale physics of magnetospheric and solar wind plasmas
ST16 – Future Space Missions and Instrumentation for Space and Planetary Science
ST18 – Energetic Particle Acceleration and Transport in the Geospace and Interplanetary Space
ST23 – Solar and Heliospheric Radio Remote Sensing: The Science of Measuring and Forecasting Solar Wind Parameters from the Sun to the Earth and Planets
ST24 – Magnetic Flux Ropes in the Solar-Terrestrial Environment
ST26 – VarSITI – Variability of the Sun and Its Terrestrial Impact
ST27 – Waves and Turbulence in the Solar Atmosphere and Heliosphere
ST28 – The Solar Atmosphere and Heliosphere: Atomic Processes, Spectroscopy, and Diagnostics
ST29 – Interactions and Deflections in the Inner Heliosphere: Consequences for Space-Weather Prediction

Please submit your abstracts early!

Best wishes,

Dr. Mario M. Bisi (RAL Space).
AOGS Sun and Heliosphere (ST-H) Secretary (2011-2013 and 2013-2015).
