Abstract submission is now open for Session E2.6, “Heating of the Corona”, planned for the COSPAR Scientific Assembly to be held in Moscow, Russia, 2–10 August 2014. The session will include presentations on theory, modelling and space-based observations with the purpose of understanding how, where and why the corona is heated, and whether there is one unifying mechanism or different mechanisms operating at different times and places. Six invited speakers have agreed to present, and an additional 10–12 contributed talks can be presented.
