ESA Briefing for the UK Organisations: Space Situational Awareness

UK organisations concerned with space weather (industry, SMEs, research institutes and universities) are invited to take part in a meeting with UK Space Agency and ESA to learn more about the opportunities presented by the ESA Space Situational Awareness programme.

Date: 26th April 2013
Registration: From 12.30
Venue: Electron Building
Location: Harwell Science and Innovation Campus

This meeting follows the £5.6 million investment in the Space weather element of the programme at the ESA Ministerial in November 2012. This will allow the UK to be involved in further developing a means to monitor and mitigate hazards caused by space weather.

The afternoon will be split into two sessions. In the first session, ESA will present the programme. The second session will be devoted to bilateral meetings between ESA and UK Space Agency representatives and those organisations interested in participating in the programme.
For further information and to register your intent to attend please email Madeleine Russell (mailto:madeleine.russell@ukspaceagency.bis.gsi.gov.uk)

The deadline for registrations is 19 April 2013. Please inform us in your email if you are interested in a bilateral meeting with the ESA and UK Space Agency representatives.
