Dear UKSP Community
To mark her retirement and celebrate her incredible career, we will be holding an event on the afternoon of Friday 30 January 2026 at the University of Manchester, with a series of short talks on different areas of Professor Philippa Browning’s research from people who have worked with her over the years. Everyone is invited to come and join the event.
The event is now a double celebration as Philippa has just been awarded the Alfvén Medal of the European Physical Society. The agenda for the afternoon can be found on the eventbrite page, with a fantastic line-up of speakers covering different elements of Philippa’s prestigious and varied career.
If you would like to attend, please register on eventbrite so that we have an idea of numbers for the catering.
