The 1st RadioSun Workshop and Summer School “Physics of the Solar Flares”,
28 October – 2 November 2013, Beijing and the Mingantu Observatory, Inner Mongolia, China
The 1st Announcement
The workshop and summer school are run by the “Radiophysics of the Sun” (RadioSun,
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/physics/research/cfsa/people/valery/radiosun/ ) network supported by the FP7 Marie Curie IRSES scheme.
The workshop will be devoted to the new generation of solar radio instruments (new Chinese Spectral Radoiheliograph, Siberian multi-frequency radioheliograph, LOFAR, ALMA), including methods of data processing and analysis, and theoretical modeling of relevant physical processes, with the main emphasis on the physical processes operating in solar flares. In association with the workshop, we shall run a Summer School for young researchers and PhD students on Physics of Solar Flares and Solar Radiophysics.
The activities will be hosted at the National Astronomical Observatory of CAS, Beijing, and the Mingantu Observatory in the Inner Mongolia, China).
The Workshop and Summer school welcome solar physicists, plasma astrophysicists and students specialising in the relevant disciplines to participate.
