Congratulations to Ken Phillips on obtaining the Copernicus Medal, awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences for his work with colleagues, notably Prof. Janusz Sylwester, on solar X-ray spectra. The medal is awarded to just a few scientists in all disciplines annually, and is the Polish Academy’s highest award. This is in addition to the medal Ken received last September from the University of Wroclaw, Poland, for his work with Prof. Rudaway.
