A group of us are putting together some work on spectra from the Bent Crystal Spectrometer part of the XRP instrument that flew on SMM (1980 and 1984-1989). Some instrumental details not previously published have emerged and more to the point some new software analysis tools are now available which will make the data archive a valuable asset that might usefully be applied to solar X-ray spectroscopy.

One item that we have not been able to find is the series of XRP Newsletters that contained some engineering details as the mission progressed. We would like to appeal to anyone who might have this useful paper archive to contact us. Details are below. Thanks!
