The journal Applied Sciences is currently running a Special Issue entitled “Advances in Solar Physics.”
This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest developments in solar physics, covering observational, theoretical, and computational research. We welcome contributions that address topics such as solar activity, magnetic fields, coronal dynamics, the solar wind, and their effects on the heliosphere.
Submissions employing innovative methodologies—including high-resolution imaging, multi-wavelength observations, advanced numerical simulations, and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques—are particularly encouraged.
By showcasing novel approaches and recent breakthroughs—such as improved solar flare forecasting, refined coronal heating models, and enhanced solar wind simulations—this Special Issue seeks to serve as a platform for cutting-edge solar physics research. We are especially interested in studies that integrate observational data with predictive models to tackle outstanding challenges in space weather forecasting and heliophysics.
