A 4-year funded postdoctoral research position is available in the Astrophysics Research Centre at Queen’s University Belfast, under the co-supervision of Ryan Campbell and Mihalis Mathioudakis.
We are excited to be on the lookout for someone with experience in spectropolarimetry in solar physics who is interested in working on some of the high quality data we now have from DKIST, Sunrise, and Solar Orbiter. We have many projects in mind but are happy to be guided by the specific expertise and interests of the successful applicant.
Please feel free to reach out via email with questions or for more info (Ryan.campbell@qub.ac.uk).
The job is advertised as Research Fellow in Solar Physics under ref 26/113093.
The deadline is 23rd February and applicants must apply through the online portal.
Please note that although the job advert states 8 months, the award of a UKRI/STFC small award to Mihalis Mathioudakis (PI) means funding is available for an additional 3 years on top of this. There will be amble funding available for international travel and/or research stays at partner institutes.
