The Institute for Astrophysics at Georg-August-Universitaet Goettingen invites applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Solar/Stellar Astrophysics.

This position may be filled as early as possible. The position is full time (39.8 hours per week) with an initial contract of two years (an extension is possible). The salary will be in the range of pay grade TV-L 13 of the German civil service.
The successful candidate will work in the research group “Physics of the Interior of the Sun and Sun-like Stars”. Various research projects are available in stellar or solar physics, modeling or data analysis. Possible fields of research include stellar interiors and stellar rotation and activity using Kepler observations.In addition to research, duties will include teaching and assistance during examinations.

The successful candidate must hold a PhD in physics, astrophysics, or a related discipline. An excellent command of the English language is required.
