Northumbria University is advertising a permanent academic position at a Professor / Reader level (depending upon experience) in the Department of Mathematics & Information Sciences (located in the Faculty of Engineering & Environment).
The candidate must be an excellent applied mathematician and/or physicist and/or astrophysicist, and must have a research profile that strengthens the current profile of the Department. Solar Physics, Magnetohydrodynamics and “Mathematical Modelling of Solar Phenomena” are all active research areas within the Department. Candidates who are excellent researchers in these areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
