Public outreach positions at Northumbria

Northumbria University has received funding from HEFCE for a 3 year project called Think Physics. Led by Northumbria University, Think Physics is an ambitious project in the North East region which aims to inspire, excite, engage and support young people in physics and science from early years to sixth form and beyond. The project has a particular focus on increasing the uptake of physics and related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines by females and those from other under-represented groups. A central hub will be created at Northumbria which will have both a physical and digital presence. The funding has created the need for a team of staff to support the project and the first four posts are now being advertised.

Below are links to our website for the first four posts: Director of Think Physics (with secondary specialism), and three specialists, one for primary and early years, one for careers and employers and one for technology in learning.

The applications have a closing date of 23rd March 2014.
