A 12 month postdoc position is available at the University of Glasgow, in the Astronomy and Astrophysics Group, Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Salary range  £25,623-£28,839 (grade 6)

Job Purpose

To undertake high-quality research in solar physics, in particular, to study the physics of strong surface flows on the photosphere, with emphasis on flow-driven ionisation, and possibly the evolution of magnetic field features.

The successful candidate must be available for employment from no later than October 1st 2009.
