Working with Dr Lyndsay Fletcher and Dr Nicolas Labrosse, you will contribute to a project on solar flare chromospheres and active region
prominences from the optical to the EUV. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge of observation and theory of solar flares and
prominences, set in the broader context of solar activity in general.
With experience of solar data analysis and modelling you will contribute to the analysis of multi-wavelength observations of solar flares and
active region prominences, and participate in the modelling of these phenomena using radiation transfer codes.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
This position has funding for up to 3 years, starting as soon as possible after 1 April 2014.
